80% of Voters Support Term Limits for U.S. Congress

New data shows congressional term limits are becoming more popular than they were in years past.

According to conclusions from a recent Scott Rasmussen national survey, nearly 80 percent of voters agree that term limits on members of Congress would benefit the American electoral system.

Over 59 percent of voters strongly agree that term limits are a good idea, while only 6 percent strongly disagree. This survey included every demographic group, indicating this is a widely shared viewpoint.

Of the people surveyed, 61 percent of suburban voters strongly support term limits, along with 55 percent of urban voters, and 60 percent of rural voters.
