The Trump campaign’s “Nonsense” and “Hell No” ads target Kamala Harris’s support for taxpayer funded transgender surgeries for prisoners and illegal immigrants – and her support for allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports.
America’s New Majority Project research shows just how far apart Kamala Harris is from the American people.
Our May 11-14, 2024, poll of 2,000 registered voters showed:
- 65% of voters disagree that taxpayer-funded health care programs should be required to pay for gender reassignment surgery. This includes 84% of Republicans, 40% of Democrats, and 72% of swing voters.
- 59% of Americans support a law which would prohibit the allocation of taxpayer dollars for gender reassignment surgery, including 77% of Republicans, 41% of Democrats, and 60% of swing voters.
- 58% of Americans do not consider the creation of such a law to be discrimination. This majority includes 74% of Republicans, 39% of Democrats, and 61% of swing voters.
YouGov’s February 22, 2024, poll of 2,000 Americans further showed:
- 51% of Americans oppose requiring private insurance companies to cover gender-affirming treatments. This includes 75% of Republicans, 26% of Democrats, and 51% of independents.
- 52% of voters oppose youth access to hormone therapy, including 82% of Republicans, 32% of Democrats, and 53% of independents.
- 54% of Americans oppose youth access to conversion therapy. This majority includes 64% of Republicans, 47% of Democrats, and 50% of independents.
- 54% of Americans oppose youth access to puberty blockers, including 77% of Republicans, 32% of Democrats, and 57% independents.
Our June 20-23, 2024, poll of 2,000 registered voters showed:
- 59% of voters support exclusively flying the American flag outside of government buildings. This includes 79% of Republicans, 41% of Democrats, and 60% of swing voters.
- 69% of New Majority and 30% of Left Minority voters support the proposal, with the Left Minority being the least likely group to support.
Why this matters – From minors’ access to transgender treatment to taxpayer funding of it, voters are rejecting Harris’ policies. The Trump campaign’s attention to this issue in the closing days of the campaign could sway the election in his favor.
