More than 8-in-10 say they are proud to be an American and 9-in-10 say they are grateful to be an American.
WHY IT MATTERS
The results reveal that age plays a role in whether a voter is more likely to feel proud or grateful to be an American, with younger voters feeling more grateful (55%) and older voters feeling more proud (50%).

American Pride
- 85% say they are proud to be an American, this includes 92% of Republicans, 81% of Democrats, and 84% of swing voters.
- 94% of Baby Boomer+ Americans say they are proud to be an American, the highest percentage and oldest demographic. Gen Z, the youngest demographic, is least likely to say they are proud to be an American at 64%.
- 88% of New Majority and 76% of Left Minority voters say they are proud to be an American.
American Gratitude
- 90% of Americans say they are grateful to be an American, this includes 95% of Republicans, 89% of Democrats, and 90% of swing voters.
- 92% of New Majority and 85% of Left Minority voters say they are grateful to be an American.
- 76% of Gen Z voters say they are grateful to be American.
Pride vs. Gratitude
- 45% of Americans say they are more proud to be an American and 44% of Americans say they are more grateful to be an American.
- 56% of Republicans say they are more proud, 49% of Democrats say they are more grateful, and 45% of swing voters say they are more grateful.
- 50% of New Majority voters say they are more proud and 54% of Left Minority voters say they are more grateful.
- Older voters say they are more proud than grateful with 50% of Baby Boomer+ agreeing.
- Younger voters say they are more grateful than proud with 55% of Gen Z agreeing.
