Language choice can significantly impact support for public policies. In this poll, we returned to one of our questions from the August 2021 poll of swing voters on education policy. This time we replaced the term “public” with “government funded” and qualified the teachers that would receive salary increases as “government employed.” The change turned a 44-44 split into a 54-35 margin for candidates running on school choice.
