New Data on Generic Ballot, Biden Approval, and Direction of Country
Among American voters, 73% believe the country is on the wrong track.

STATE OF PLAY – A June 22-25, poll for America’s New Majority Project conducted by McLaughlin and Associates also revealed:
74% of Americans fall within America’s New Majority
- 44% – Conservative base
- 25% – Persuadable moderates
- 5% – Persuadable liberals
Republicans have a 47%-41% lead on the generic ballot.
- This 6-point lead is within the margin of error of our May and early June 2023 polls (+/- 2.2%).
- Republicans lead 36%-31% among Independents.
- Republicans also lead with Hispanics, 48%-41%.
- Among Republican voters, the GOP candidate leads 94%-3%, whereas among Democrats, the Democratic candidate lead is only 86%-8%.
- Among America’s New Majority, the GOP leads 63%-21%.

- This is the same percentage as two weeks ago, which was a new high.
- Just 27% believe things are going in the right direction.
- A majority of all groups except Democrats say the U.S. is on the wrong track.
- Among America’s New Majority, 83% say the U.S. is on the wrong track.
59% disapprove of the job President Biden is doing.
- This is a 4% increase in disapproval since May.
- A majority of Independents (65%), Swing Voters (63%), and Hispanics (58%) disapprove of Biden
- Democrats (79%), Blacks (66%), and Asians (55%) approve of Biden.
- 75% of America’s New Majority disapproves of Joe Biden
