A new survey released by the Trafalgar Group this month reveals the biggest concern among Americans regarding the southern border crisis.
WHY IT MATTERS – Americans on both sides of the isle are worried about the unsupervised southern border, fearful of how the crisis will impact the safety of our communities.
THE STATS – When asked, “Which of the following is most concerning to you regarding the southern border crisis?” participants responded:
- 51.2 percent of Democrats said human trafficking of women and children
- 38.5 percent of Republicans said illegal border crossers or asylum seekers being released into U.S. before their cases are reviewed
- 32.5 percent of participants with no political affiliation said human trafficking of women and children, with a close second voting for illegal border crossers or asylum seekers being released into U.S. before their cases are reviewed
Less than 10 percent of all participants said “none of the above,” indicating that they were not concerned with the southern border crisis.
THE BOTTOM LINE – With most Americans believing there are serious implications to the crisis at the southern border, government officials should work to take action and ensure the safety of our communities and citizens.
